Firedoors

We manufacture and supply an extensive range of fire doors and door sets in both standard and non standard sizes. All our fire rated doors are tested and certified to B.S. 476 Part 22. Doors are available with a 30 min, 60 min, 90min and 120 minute fire rating.

Acoustic Door Sets

Here at Fire Doors & Joinery we specialise in acoustic door sets up to 44db rating.

Door set assemblies are an integral part of a building. While gaps around the door are inevitable, these gaps do allow sound to pass through. Sealing the gaps around the door is therefore crucial to eradicating sound leaving and entering a room.

Fire Doors & Joinery utilise Lorient acoustic seals to provide excellent resistance to sound and to improve the acoustic barrier that the door set provides.

These seals have displayed in tests that they are capable of providing a high level of acoustic performance in conjunction with the fire door assemblies that we manufacture.

With our acoustic partners Lorient and Norseal we have completed many projects requiring acoustic insulation.

We have provided paperwork from our partners for a wide variety of standard and non standard acoustic applications.

OUR SERVICES

We manufacture and supply an extensive range of fire doors and door sets. All our fire rated doors are tested and certified to B.S. 476 Part 22. Additionally we manufacture a range of high performance door sets for specialist applications. These include lead lined doors for use as radiation barriers in x-ray departments, acoustic doors for sound studios, hospitals, libraries and other areas that necessitate control of noise levels. We also supply a comprehensive range of solid panel joinery doors.

Pre-hanging

In order to minimise the amount of finishing work on site much can be completed prior to delivery. To assist in this we offer pre-hung door sets where we machine for door hinges, mortise for locks etc.

Skirting & Architrave

We offer an extensive range of standard profiles for skirting and architrave. These can be manufactured from solid timber or can be supplied as veneer wrapped with an mdf core. For more specialist applications or for matching existing profiles we offer an additional service tailored to meet the customer’s special needs

Finishes

We can supply our own products primes, sealed and fully lacquered in a range of sheens. We can also finish our products to any stain.

As we are a supply only company we do not have the facility for an on-site measuring service

Fire Rated Test Evidence

As a company of 24 years no door would be produced unless fully compliant with BS476 and current building and fire regulations.

When Placing an Order

When FDJ receive an enquiry the joinery element is priced. When a price is agreed between the client & FDJ Ltd., payment terms are agreed between both parties as follows: an agreed deposit on confirmation of order, the balance payable 7 days prior to despatch or collection of goods. This is company policy for all new business

Bespoke Orders

The species of timber to be used, type of veneer or laminate to be used if applicable, the frame section size (width/ depth), quantities required, type of glass, any special requirements with regard to fire rating

Timbers Used

We currently machine from an extensive range of both hardwoods and softwoods, these include red deal, pine, oak (various species), maple, ash, cherry, teak, beech and walnut. This is not an exhaustive list of timbers we can supply, we can source other timber types upon request.

Delivery

We deliver nationwide and have in the past delivered to the uk and mainland Europe

Bespoke

Essentially to classify something as bespoke signifies that it is to the customers specifications. Thus in our application we manufacture to the specifications as supplied to us from architects or developers
